Can I Write My Paper For College?
Can I Write My Paper For College? This is a question I hear frequently: 'Can I write my paper for college?' The answer, no, unless you are a writer or artist. One of the things that sets students and their parents up for disappointment is to think that they can just throw in some paper and be done with their student's assignment. To a degree this could be true; the paper should not be more than four pages, and any good writing course should have at least one essay. But we don't expect students to write in all cases and it's very possible that a student will get bogged down. What if you asked your child to write a college paper? I would want them to focus on writing style, and how they were to create a narrative or fill in the gaps. When I was in college, I never finished anything except the first page of my term paper. At first I assumed it was due to me being lazy.I thought that if I could just write the first page, I could finish the college paper. I'm glad I did not set my expectatio ns too high and go through a month of procrastination. If you think your child has to do a lot of research or take lots of tests and essays, then you may be underselling their ability to write. It's like they did a bunch of practice papers, and they came out with an essay that was good enough to pass them by.They need to practice to get good at this, and I'm not saying they need to do it as quickly as I did, but they should be able to create a narrative in a short period of time. Maybe, a paragraph at a time. Their writing style may need work, but that's just the way they're going to be.Don't worry about whether your child is living in the business world and writing for corporate magazines or a report at the university. We've all heard stories of students who are sick of going home at night and needing help, and are happy to write their own report. In the end, you will be able to determine if they can write, but the best thing to do is just set up a situation where they need to devel op skills. Your child will need to write a few times before they can produce anything of quality. To do this, you can include several questions in the paper and let them pick a topic and write a couple of paragraphs based on that topic.
